Lots to discuss...
Developments: Gabby has been getting better everyday at grabbing and putting things in her mouth. Sometimes, the two motions are separate too. Also, I picked up an exersaucer from craigslist, we cleaned it up, and Gabby instantly gravitated to it. Over the past few weeks, I've noticed more and more that she is not satisfied lying down. She wants to be upright. The exersaucer is doing the trick! Additionally, she immediately began reaching for each toy individually, inadvertently rotating herself within the toy. Remarkable little girl.
Visitors: Saturday, Gabby was greeted my her Bobie, Auntie Rae, and Aunt Rita and Uncle Marty as well as her cousin Sandra. Spectacular. As usual, she put on a great show for everyone. Rae stayed over that evening, and was a welcome witness to Gabby's morning demeanor. She's a peach and playful in the morning. Later on Sunday morning, she visited with Saba and Gigi and had a swell breakfast. Then it was on to the park with Auntie Rae and Bobie to meet the birds, and eventually the mall (where the AC was cranking!). Babci then visited Gabby on Sunday night/Monday morning, and I was fortunate enough to have an unplanned work-from-home day to share with the smunchkin. Rockin!
Pictures will come soon.

My angel baby
I'll say this right now. My little girl is an angel. These days she falls asleep by herslf - without crying (most of the time), sucks down 20 oz. of milk at daycare, and when she's awake she's laughing and smiling and learning to sit-up and stand! Rockin!
Apparently, she's also the only kid in her class that will sleep in her crib. The rest of the cribs are gathering dust. You go G!
Here're some new pictures.
Lately, I've changed my mind. A few weeks ago, I declared that I'm not ready to have my lil G grow up. I wanted ther to remain completely in need of her Daddy. Well my friends, times they are a-changin' (thanks BD). I am so excited to have Gabby sit up and play. and crawl...and even more excited to have her walk towards me and talk to me. This is gonna be awesome! Really awesome. I can't wait.
One final note - Babci came over last night to gabbysit while B and I went to dinner and our first movie since G was born. We saw "Crash" and had a great time!
Later y'all.

Developments
As you can see below, Gabby has officially found her feet. Kudos, young girl. Nice going. Also, last night Gabby became an angel baby...as if she weren't my angel already.
In other news: I got off of work early yesterday due to the Memorial Day holiday weekend. So I picked up our darling around 3pm. With some time to kill until B got home, Gabby and I went for a walk around the neighborhood. It was not planned and was not thought out...so we had no gear. Gabby sat upon my shoulders and held my ears. Her arms are not yet long enough to reach my eyesockets or lips from the back. And we strolled. And strolled. Soon I realized that I should put on some real pants, since I was wearing pajama bottoms. We went back home and I got changed. Then back out on the town. It was at that point that I decided to walk to the T station and meet B. Recognizing that once we began the arduous 5 min trek, there would be no turning back, I bit my lip, Gabby drooled on my head, and we decided to do it. No biggie. G had a great time. I could hear her squawking above me and felt her looking all around. Then...whoops. Can you say S-P-I-T-U-P?? Well I can, and Gabby did. All over herself and my head...it was dripping onto my shirt. So what's a modern new millenium Dad to do but rub in the partially digested milk and keep trucking. Sometimes life throws you a sloppy curveball. You've just gotta grab it rub it around in the dirt and chuck it back. Gabby spitup again on my head on the way home. Nice. Gabby, you rock.
One more item: I was driving miss G to daycare yesterday, and watched the reflection of the reflection of her gently remove her pacifier using the clip strap, grab the pacifier and strap as an exersize toy - pulling it apart as best she could...then place the pacifier back into her mouth. How's that for motor skills? Ok. When she put the pacifier back in her mouth it was backwards. But nevertheless, I was impressed.
